Officially established in 1974, as an Electromechanical Company, in the UAE, the company is an ISO-9001:2008-QMS certified and one of the oldest Electromechanical contracting companies based in the country.

With over thirty years of handling Turnkey Projects in the Gulf, MAPCO is able to offer complete Value Engineered solutions tailored to the region. Over the last three decades, the company has completed electromechanical works in over 100 medium to large scale projects, spanning the industrial, commercial and residential sectors.

As one of the pioneers of Electromechanical contracting in the U.A.E., MAPCO continues to maintain its leadership within the industry, through its commitment to customer satisfaction. The company's belief is that customer satisfaction can only be achieved through understanding the client's needs and providing cost- effective, efficient solutions while maintaining the highest levels of quality control.

In 2006 the company celebrated the culmination of 35 years of achievement and since its inception, MAPCO has been involved in many of the country's major projects. Today Mapco is on the approved list of nearly all the relevant Authorities and Engineering Consultants in the UAE.

The company is also a member of the following organizations:

• American Society of Testing Materials (ASTM).
• International Association of Cold Storage Contractors (IACSC).
• International Association of Refrigerated Warehouses (IARW).
• Institute of Quality Assurance (IQA).

In 2003 the company established its first International branch in the State of Qatar and officially begun its operations as the Electromechanical Contractor for many prestigious projects in that country.
