Eco-Friendly ProductsSince July 2020, new eco-friendly disposable items, starting with recyclable to-go cups, will be available in illy bars, illycaffè direct stores and in vending channels.
The use of these to-go cups will allow a reduction in the use of plastic equal to 175 tons per year.Last October, the new X1 ESE & Ground coffee machine has been launched, equipped with a technology that enables it to dispense coffee, steam, and hot water immediately, avoiding wasting time to reach the correct temperature. Moreover, after each use, the machine instantly goes into standby mode, thereby ensuring significant energy saving.
This machine also combines two methods of coffee preparation which are environmentally sustainable: the new ESE compostable paper pods and ground coffee. All of the materials used in the construction of the machine were carefully researched and chosen to last over time. Finally, the packaging itself is eco-friendly.
