Revive Headlight Lenses in 4 Simple Steps
1. Clean the headlight lens with the Spies Hecker Silicone Remover 7080.
2. Sand it with specific grit sizes, from coarse to very fine.
3. Apply the waterborne Permahyd 1K Headlight Primer 4018. It will form a milky film on the lens and will dry in approximately 40 minutes at 20°C ambient air temperature.
4. Apply the Permacron 2K Clear Coat 8018. It will make the lens clear again and will dry in the spray booth in just under half an hour at 60°C object temperature or overnight at ambient air temperature.
The headlights do not have to be dismantled, which is particularly useful for bodyshops. They can be repaired at a properly ventilated preparation area while still in the vehicle.
